1. Privacy Policy

We thank you for your interest in our internet presence and the services described on our website.

The protection of your personal data (hereafter, “data“) is extremely important to us. In the following we therefore want to give you detailed information about the data we compile when you visit our website to learn about our services and how the data is stored and used by us. Moreover, we explain which electronic and managerial procedures we have put in place to safeguard and secure the information we capture online.

2. Responsible Persons

In accordance with the German Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetzes / BDSG) and as a service provider in accordance with the Telemediengesetzes (TMG), the firm effective GmbH is the responsible body. Please refer to our imprint for further details.

Please address any questions you may have regarding this data privacy statement or data protection in general to

Mr. Holger Ridinger,

3. Collection and Use of your Data

The extent and nature of the way we capture and use your data depends on whether you visit our site to gather information or whether you wish to engage any of the services offered:

a) Usage for information purposes

If you visit our website just to learn more about our company, you are generally not required to provide any personal information.

Instead we would only capture the data that is automatically transferred to our servers via your internet browser, such as:

  • Date and time that you called up our website
  • Browser
  • Browser settings

  • Operating system
  • Last pages visited
  • Actions taken within the website, such as amount of data transferred and the access status (data set transferred, data set not found etc.)
  • IP address

The data that is captured from such informative visits to our website is exclusively stored in anonymous form. This enables you to call up the website pages that interest you and provides us with statistical information that in turn helps us to improve our internet performance. There is no personalised evaluation of the data.

b) Use of Services

As soon as you decide to take advantage of any of our online offers, such as ordering our newsletter, you will be asked to provide additional data. We only capture personal data which is necessary to process your request; for example, an address to which specific information should be delivered by post.

The provision of additional information is optional and the fields are labelled accordingly.

Data voluntarily provided by the user is only captured and used for the intended purpose; for example, to send you the customised newsletter as requested.

Your data may need to be passed to a trusted partner who helps us run our business, such as technical support or a logistics partner. These companies are of course very carefully selected and they are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

Otherwise your personal data is only passed to a third party when we are obliged to do so under the law.

4. Data Privacy Legal Consent

In addition to providing you with the service you requested, we would like to be able to contact you periodically to inform you of our latest products and services. Of course, we will first have had to be given your explicit consent in a special form. The data you provide will be evaluated and assessed for market research purposes and we will inform you of any online presence that might interest you or contact you with news about our company and services by post or email (in the form of a newsletter).

It is technically necessary to collate the data you make available in a user profile, but this is only for internal use and only for the above-mentioned applications.

Your consent can be given separately and can be revoked at any time with immediate effect for the future.

5. Newsletter

In order to register to receive our newsletter, we will require the email address to which the newsletter should be sent in addition to your data privacy legal consent. Any further information you give is completely optional and will be used to address you personally, to configure the newsletter content to your needs or to check the contact information (e.g. email address) provided.

We generally use a double opt-in process for the subscription to our newsletters: this means that before we can send you the newsletter, you will be asked to confirm your registration via a special link in a confirmatory email. This will give us assurance that only you as the owner of the email address registered for our newsletter. The confirmation must be returned shortly after receipt of the email, otherwise the subscription to our newsletter will be automatically deleted from our data base.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. You can either send a brief email to or activate the unsubscribe link shown at the end of every newsletter.

6. The Use of Cookies

We use cookie technology on our website to make sure that the website runs properly and acts smoothly. Cookies are small text files (strings of code) that are sent to your browser from our webserver during the course of your visit to our site and are then stored on your computer for later use.

8. Right of Cancellation and Objection

We would like to point out that any data privacy consent given to us can be revoked at any time, effective immediately.

9. Social Media

Our website includes the “+1“ button of the social network Google Plus, operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (Google). The button labelled “+1” is visible on a white or coloured background. When you open a page on our website which contains such a button, the browser will establish a direct connection to the Google servers. The data content of the “+1” button will be directly transferred to your browser which in turn incorporates it in the website. We therefore have no influence on the extent of the data that Google collects with the button. According to Google, no personal data is collected without a definite click of the button. Personal data, including IP addresses, are only captured for members that have logged in to Google Plus.

The aim and extent of the data collection, further processing and use by Google as well as your rights and possible options to protect your privacy can be found under Google’s data privacy policies for the “+1” button:

If you are a Google+ member and do not wish your personal data to be collected from our website and added to your stored member profile, you will first need to log out of Google+ or Google before your visit to our site.

10. Data Security

We utilise technical and organisational security tools to protect contingent or collected personal data, especially against accidental or premeditated manipulation, loss, destruction or attack by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are constantly being improved in line with technological developments.

The ordering procedure, in particular the input of payment or credit card data, is encrypted using SSL technology in order to prevent access by unauthorised third parties.
