Your tags are broken - You just don’t know it yet
Broken tags mean you can no longer trust your own numbers - and you are no longer putting budget and effort reliably into what actually moves your business. Smart bidding keeps optimising on faulty data without anyone noticing, until the results stop adding up.
AEGIS is the integrity layer for your analytics and conversion tracking. AEGIS checks whether every tracking event fires, whether cookies are set the way they should be, and whether your pages technically deliver what search engines and AI systems expect - daily, across every language version. Every run is fully documented, with network log and screenshot.
Business decisions need data you can trust. AEGIS gives that confidence back.
Three problems AEGIS solves
Tag regressions after a release
A developer ships a site update, a GTM trigger breaks. The result: the event stops firing. Nobody notices until the ad budget is burned and the reporting is empty. AEGIS checks daily and on demand before every release - the regression shows up the next morning, not at the end of the month.
Cookies and consent in the wrong order
Tags fire before the consent banner has been clicked. Consent Mode v2 is active but blocks nothing. AEGIS browses like a real visitor, works through accept, reject and no interaction, and records for every cookie which script set it and whether that happened before or after consent. AEGIS judges nothing; it shows exactly what happens, so you work with facts instead of assumptions.
No overview across many pages and languages
Manual QA does not scale. Hundreds of pages in ten languages: every form, every checkout, every CTA has to work, and people tend to skip steps. AEGIS runs defined user journeys automatically and in full, checks structure and language consistency across the entire site, and reports separately per language market - so each owner sees only their own findings.
How AEGIS works
Real browser. Real events. Real evidence.
AEGIS runs defined user journeys in a real Chrome browser and validates the resulting network traffic, events and cookie logs. AEGIS does not check what should happen - it checks what actually happened.
Step 1
Define the runs
Together we decide what gets checked: your visitors' journeys, the cookie scenarios, the sections of the site. Each of these configured checks is one run.
Step 2
Execute automatically
Your runs are executed daily, and on demand before a release.
Step 3
Check against reality
AEGIS walks through every step and validates at each click: cookies, CRM hooks, GA4, Google Ads, Meta, Matomo and more - all verified in the browser, not read from backend settings. AEGIS goes to the source of truth.
Step 4
Report & alert
You receive your PDF report at the agreed interval: Standard monthly, Premium weekly or monthly, prepared per language market. If something breaks, you are notified by email immediately. Every run stays archived and reproducible; Premium adds the comparison with the previous month.
Three pillars, one report
Pillar 1
Tracking & Events
(validated in a real browser)
- GA4
- Google Ads
- Meta Pixel
- LinkedIn Insight
- Matomo
- Consent Mode v2
- GTM / server-side GTM
- CRM-Webhooks - Events, Parameters, Order and Timing
- Plus any other pixel, tag or webhook endpoint you define.
Pillar 2
Cookies and consent
(in a real browser, with evidence)
- Which cookies are set, by which script, via header or JavaScript, before or after consent.
- First and third party separated, accept and reject tested against each other.
- No CMP scanner tells you who set a cookie - AEGIS does.
Pillar 3
Technical structure & structured data
(rule-based, no AI tokens)
- HTTP status and rendering,
- noindex and canonical regressions,
- JSON-LD by type and declared fields compared against visible content,
- hreflang reciprocity,
- sitemap consistency against crawl and CMS,
- language consistency per URL,
- on-page structure with H1, titles, meta and alt coverage.

Still have questions?
What does AEGIS cost?
Four levels. The demo is free and covers a single run on one URL. Standard is 250 EUR per month and covers 6 runs executed daily, with a monthly PDF report. Premium is 500 EUR per month and covers 15 runs, daily execution, staging and a weekly or monthly report. Custom on request. Setup is charged once on top: 500 EUR for Standard, 1,500 EUR for Premium. All prices exclude VAT.What is a run - and why don't you count tags?
A run is a configured check: one journey, one cookie scan or one site-audit profile. It is executed automatically at the frequency of your plan. Counting tags is misleading, because AEGIS checks more than tags - cookies, consent behaviour and the technical structure of the site are part of it, and a single tool such as GA4 can mean one check or five, depending on the setup. The run is the unit that matches the actual scope. What does setup cost?
500 EUR for Standard, 1,500 EUR for Premium, charged once. It covers scripting your journeys, configuring the cookie and crawl profiles, and agreeing on recipients and report structure. For custom plans, setup depends on scope. How does it start?
You give us read access to your Google or Matomo Tag Manager. We use it to establish which tags are running and send you the list - or you tell us directly what should be checked, for example LinkedIn, Meta, Salesforce, Sitecore or cookies. On that basis we define the runs together: which journeys, which sections of the site, which consent states. How long is onboarding until the first report?
For Standard, roughly three days to one week after signing. For Premium it depends on scope and usually takes 10 to 14 days. How do I report changes or new requirements?
Just tell us, informally. Two changes to configured runs are included per quarter. Beyond that we bill against your support allowance, and we agree the scope with you beforehand. What happens during a relaunch?
A relaunch changes the page structure and the elements our journeys rely on. We bring the runs back in line; part of the setup fee falls due again, 250 EUR for Standard and 750 EUR for Premium. If the number of runs then exceeds your allowance, you move to the matching level or add individual runs.We are on Standard but need more runs - what now?
Additional individual runs cost 18 EUR per month. From around four additional runs, moving to Premium is worth it, because alongside 15 runs it includes higher scope limits, staging and the weekly report. What is not included in the price?
You receive a written assessment of every finding with the alert - whether it is a genuine error, expected behaviour or something to verify. Root-cause analysis, support during the fix and review calls run against a support allowance: 5 hours for 675 EUR, 10 hours for 1,250 EUR, 20 hours for 2,300 EUR, valid for twelve months. Without an allowance we bill 155 EUR per hour.Monthly or annual - which is better?
The minimum term is twelve months. Paying annually in advance gives you a 10 percent discount on the monthly price: Standard 1,296 EUR instead of 1,440 EUR per year, Premium 4,212 EUR instead of 4,680 EUR. Setup is not discounted. How will I be notified of errors?
If something breaks you receive an email immediately - you do not have to wait for the next report. Standard sends notifications to up to three recipients, Premium to up to ten, and on request also to third parties you have appointed, such as your media agency or IT provider. What exactly does AEGIS check?
Three things in a single pass with a real browser. First, tags and events: whether GA4, Meta, Google Ads and others actually fire and what they send. Second, cookies and consent: which cookies are set, by which script, and whether anything happens before consent. Third, the technical structure: what is visible without JavaScript, plus canonicals, hreflang, redirects and broken links, structured data (JSON-LD: the correct type per page type and a comparison of declared against visible fields), sitemap consistency against crawl and CMS, on-page structure with H1, titles, meta and alt coverage, and language or character-encoding errors in the text. How many pages can AEGIS check?
That depends on the type of check. Structural checks such as canonicals, hreflang, redirects and language consistency run without a browser and cover up to 2,500 URLs on Standard and up to 25,000 on Premium. Checks that need a real browser - cookies, tags, rendering - are more demanding: up to 250 URLs per run on Standard, up to 2,000 on Premium. For larger sites we use a sampling approach that checks the most important pages daily and covers the rest on rotation. We have many language versions - how is that billed?
All language versions of a domain are always checked, at no extra charge. What is billed is the preparation of the report per language market, so that each owner sees only their own findings. Standard includes one language market, Premium three, each additional one costs 90 EUR per month. From eight language markets we prepare a custom quote. Can we monitor several websites?
Yes. Standard covers one domain with all its language versions, Premium covers three domains including staging. Additional domains cost 40 EUR per month on Standard and 80 EUR on Premium.Does AEGIS change anything on our website or our tags?
No. AEGIS only observes. It browses your site like a real visitor and records what happens - without changing the website, the tags or the tracking.Does AEGIS check GDPR compliance?
No. AEGIS makes no legal judgement. It documents observably whether and when cookies are set and tags fire, with screenshots and network logs. The legal assessment remains with you or your legal advisers.Does AEGIS work with our consent banner?
Yes. AEGIS behaves like a real visitor and works through the different consent states - accept, reject, no interaction. That makes it visible whether tags actually do what they should before and after consent.Which platforms and tags does AEGIS support?
Among others GA4, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, Matomo, Consent Mode v2, GTM and server-side GTM, plus CRM webhooks - and any other pixel, tag or webhook endpoint you define. How is AEGIS different from GTM preview or an analytics tool?
AEGIS runs automatically on a schedule, in a real browser and across many pages. It detects regressions after every deploy, not only once the numbers look odd - and for every cookie it tells you which script set it and whether that happened before or after consent.
